Dr Sarah Flowers has been organising and hosting the Kenya leg of the Africa GFP since 2014. Sarah lives in Central Kenya, at Kakuzi, a corporate agribusiness growing a variety of produce for export and the local market, where her husband is the MD. Sarah completed both a Masters and Doctorate in forestry and then pursued a career in plantation forest management in the Solomon Islands, UK and Tanzania. She also spent some time lecturing in various aspects of forestry, in UK and Kenya. Sarah is no longer in formal employment, but occasionally indulges in some voluntary forestry consultancy and is the local chairman for a league of women dedicated to charitable work. Most of her time is spent managing a household of three unruly Labradors, a contrary horse and several hectares of smallholding.
